UTS Wayfinding
2002
This project was a major redesign and revitalisation of signage across all University of Technology, Sydney campuses. Initially I worked throughout the three main campuses (encompassing dozens of buildings) as part of a small wayfinding team to determine sign locations and messages.
Further into the project signage design and documentation became my main focus. It was also necessary to run faculty meetings to make staff aware of what was being implemented and to address concerns such as sign messages and traffic flow. I was also responsible for writing and assembling a 200 page design manual covering signage graphics, materials and wayfinding principles.
Final signage development, documentation, manufacture and installation costs exceeded $1.5 million with over 700 signs delivered.
