Kitchen Stools
Sculptural in nature and designed to be viewed from any angle these stools will be used at a kitchen bar area. The deep red of the recycled hardwood is punctuated by stainless steel fixings at the conjunction of the legs: a combination of warmth and character contrasted with the modern.
Particularly challenging was the development of the central stainless steel bracket and determining the correct angle of cuts needed for the legs. Over 20 models and various prototypes were created before hand crafting the two prototypes shown here. The chair legs are aesthetically and structurally successful, however the seat and backrest are being revised.
